The Burst Collection from Harley-Davidson®

You know what they say; picking which Harley-Davidson® model you want is easy, the hard part is what accessories to add. Well, the Motor Company has added to the choices with the new Burst Collection. But this is an easy choice to make, especially all of you Street Glide owners out there. We decided to install this collection on our LED Lighting Road Kind model, and the results are outstanding! Harley-Davidson® did this collection right, by anodizing the surfaces, instead of powder coating, then machining the unique designs throughout each piece. This allows for extremely clean lines between the black and machined surfaces. If you’ve seen a cheap set of “contrast cut” components, you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about, with those lines appearing a bit rough at best, or downright sloppy at worst. We’ll detail all of the pieces from the collection here, including those that we didn’t install on our Road King.

(For specific fitment inquiries, please contact our Parts Department, and they will be happy to help you find the perfect set for your bike.)

Engine Covers
The heart and soul of you Harley-Davidson is the motor itself, and these engine covers are designed to draw everyone’s attention to your Twin Cam motor. Made from billet or cast aluminum, these covers will look great against chrome, aluminum, texture or gloss black surfaces. Manufactured as direct OEM replacements, these covers fit just a great as they look. Installation of the derby cover is a breeze; you’ll just need the old Frisbee-style flat gasket to make this work. The cam and transmission side covers are a bit trickier, also needing new gaskets, but removal of the exhaust system may be required to properly install these items without damaging them. The rocker covers are tricky, as a specialty tool recommended for the fasteners really helps with the installation on Touring models.

You Softail owners, however, will need to remove the motor to properly install these covers. Yes, that’s right, you will need to remove the motor to install these rocker covers on Twin Cam equipped Softail models. That’s the word from the Motor Company directly. Could you do it without removing the motor? Maybe, but the risk of damaging the covers greatly increases with this scenario. These covers are taller than the OEM covers, and use blind holes for the fasteners to keep the side facing surfaces clean looking, though this hampers installation times.

Headlamp Trim Ring
This trim ring really sets off your 7” headlamp, especially an LED headlamp in black! The machined grooves in the trim ring against the black anodized surface sets this apart from anything else. Straight forward installation on this.

Saddlebag Latch Kit
These saddlebag latches are a direct replacement for your existing chrome or color-matched latches. These are an outstanding addition to any hard saddlebag, especially in Vivid Black! Easy installation, comes with chrome plated mounting hardware, utilizing your existing lock assemblies.

Shifter Peg
These shifter pegs are an outstanding addition to the Edge Cut billet shifter levers (which we have pictured here). These pegs feature a rubber backing along with the anodized black and machined cut surfaces, to help protect your boot while upshifting.

Brake Pedal Pad
The machined edge on this pedal offsets the stylized rubber insert featuring the famed Bar & Shield. This is another accessory that would go great with the Edge Cut billet rear brake lever (also, pictured here). Another easy install.

Rider & Passenger Floorboard Kits
To say that these floorboards are beefy is a drastic understatement! These half-shield shaped aluminum pans are shaped from a solid aluminum block, anodized black, and the outside edges machined to match the brake pedal. These floorboards also feature the isolation mounting found on OEM floorboards, and the high traction rubber inserts feature a nice crosshatch design, with the Bar & Shield featured right in the middle. Another straight forward installation.

Screamin’ Eagle® Performance Air Cleaner Kit
This air cleaner kit stands out far and away from anything else out there. The one piece backing plate is powder coated gloss black to fit with the anodized tuxedo black finishes on the cover, and features integral breather passages to keep the assembly small and clean looking. The included washable, reusable high flow air cleaner allows massive volumes of air for the most demanding of performance upgrades on your Touring motorcycle. The outside 2 piece cover sets off the rest of the collection, with the machined Bar & Shield right in the center. Your EFI motorcycle will need to be recalibrated to accommodate the increase in air flow this air cleaner provides, and is listed “for race application only”.

That sums up what we outfitted our Road King with, but there’s more to the collection than this!

Speaker Trim Kit
Put a little swagger in your sound with these cool spider-like grilles! These kits are designed to work with both OEM or Boom!™ Audio fairing mounted speakers, and is a great addition to any Edge Cut accessory on your handlebars. The unique design, with its machine cut pattern on tuxedo black anodized finish, will not impede the quality of sound from your Advanced Audio system, and comes with everything needed for installation.

Fork Cover Medallions
Here’s the finishing touch on any FL-style black front end upgrade! These medallions are a breeze to install, and work great with any of the Burst or Edge Cut collections.

Screamin’ Eagle® 3.5” End Caps
Complete out your look with these beautiful contrasting ends caps! The machined aluminum in contrast to the black anodized finish works great with either chrome or black finish mufflers.
And there you have it! The Burst Collection is sure to add jaw-dropping detail to your motorcycle, and works great in conjunction with the existing Edge Cut collection from Harley-Davidson. Swing by and take a look at these pieces in person, as the pictures really do not do these items justice. Once you see them in person, you’ll be sold on this newest accessory from Harley-Davidson!
